7 summer getaway in UAE for under AED 15.

Summer in UAE hasn’t started yet but the heat is already killing us. By this time, almost every resident is planning their getaway before the official summer starts which is on June 23.

The City Vibes has picked some of the best spots in Dubai to go to whether you are a nature lover or who just wants to enjoy the day – either won’t break your wallet.



1. Abra Ride

Abra Ride is one of the most popular modes of transports for residents and tourists which can hold around 20 people. Why do people choose Abra over a taxi? Well, first, it’s cheap (AED 1) and second, it’s the fastest means of travelling between Deira and Bur Dubai.

Timings: 5 a.m to 12 a.m



2. Hatta Pools

Going to Hatta Pools requires one a long trip. But, hey, it’s worth it! With all the picture-perfect sceneries, you will be amazed by the pristine blue-green waters. Make sure to bring a power bank just in case you run out of battery from taking photos!

3. Al Mamzar Beach Park

This park is considered one of the beach parks that is popular for its wide area and unique location. If you need a break from work, gather your family and friends and relax under the trees and enjoy the calming blue of the beach.

Location: Al Khaleej Road, Al Mamzar, Dubai

Cost: AED 5

Timings: Sundays to Wednesday (9 a.m to 9 p.m)

Thursday to Saturday or public holidays: 9 a.m to 10 p.m

Lady’s Days: Monday and Wednesday

4. Jebel Hafeet

Dare to climb at the UAE’s second highest peak? Well, this is for you. Drive or cycle now to Jebel Hafeet. The long drive will reward you with UAE’s natural beauty. You may also explore the forts, museums and tombs in the area.

Location: Al Ain, Abu Dhabi

Cost: Free

Timings: Anytime

5. Sharjah National Park

While you’re still planning a summer getaway, you might want to consider dropping by or spending the day at Sharjah National Park. This is the Emirate’s largest park so far. With more than 600 thousand square feet, it has play areas like big size jungle gym with slides, rope ladders and many more not to mention the greenery of the area.

Location: Al Dhaid Road, Sharjah

Cost: AED 2

Timings: Weekend: 8 a.m to 10 p.m

Weekdays: Closes 1 p.m to 4.pm

6. Al Ain Classic Museum

This is a place not to miss for all car enthusiasts in the UAE. People will get to see and meet cars you don’t normally get to see wandering roads.

Location: Al Faida Complex

Cost: AED 5

Timings: Saturday to Thursday – 9 a.m to 5 p.m

Friday – 4 p.m to 8 p.m

7. Sharjah Desert Park

This park offers four things: it’s a botanical park, a natural history museum, a wildlife center and a children’s farm. Want to refresh Biology 101? Get to know what’s flora and fauna again by visiting Sharjah Desert Park.

Timings: Sunday to Thursday – 9 a.m to 6 p.m

Friday – 2 p.m to 6 p.m

Saturday – 11 a.m to 6 p.m
