An Indian man has emailed Dubai’s RTA, saying that they take poor people’s money by failing them.
An Indian man was fined AED 500,000 for insulting the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) through an email, saying that the government agency is taking ‘people’s money by making them intentionally fail in driving tests and forcing them to repeat the tests. In a local report, the man’s name was not mentioned. Aside from a hefty fine, the penalty also comes with three-month jail time.
The traffic department reported the incident to the Dubai Police and found out that the sender used his personal email. An official from the said department reported the matter because the message contains offensive words and phrases against RTA staff.
