Candidates of Man Of The Philippines-Dubai Preparing For The Finals
The official candidates of the Man of the Philippines-Dubai are now preparing for the next leg of the male pageant show, the pre-finals.
In a press conference held at Ortego’s Grill in Satwa, the local media has finally met the official candidates and tested their wit in impromptu question and answer.
Only 13 contestants have made the cut during the two-Friday screening a few weeks back, but only 11 boys showed up during the press conference.
One of the contestants, Ahmed El Shariff, a 22-year-old student, said that since it’s summer break he gets to prepare for the pre-finals by hitting the gym and controlling his diet.
For his part, Nikko Vincent, a Dubai-based expat, said that among his advantage is his talent in playing piano.
Christopher Valenzuela, on the other hand, tries to divide his time – for full-time job and the pageant.
He added that he doesn’t see it difficult because he has learned how to manage time ever since before.
It was also revealed by the organizers that there will be a talent night for the boys on a venue and date that have yet to be announced.
The pre-pageant will be on September 14. They will proceed to take the catwalk on September 28.
The winner that will be hailed will be flown in an all-expense paid trip to Manila for the national pageant on December 1 where 60 candidates from around the Philippines will be competing for the international titles National Universe, Man International and Man of the Universe, as well as national titles.
