Updated: May 30, 2018

Going outside in this weather is not convenient for some, you know, *gulps*, it’s almost 40 degrees Celsius outside.

Aside from the obvious fact that it's very hot outside, it's also difficult for some to find the best shabu-shabu within once budget.

Right now, we’re showing you how to make "do-it-yourself" style slash economic shabu-shabu.

All you need is trust to unravel the chef in you.

Firstly, in case you don't have a decent hot pot, you can use your rice cooker.

Pour 1/2 can of coconut milk, whisk it until it gets thick.

And once it's already thick, put 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce, 3/4 cup of crab paste, 1/2 cup of chilli pepper, and 1 liter of water.

Boil it for the next five minutes and add your available ingredients.

In our case, we prepared shrimp, seafood balls, mushrooms, beef, tofu and some fresh vegetables. You can add as much as you can.

This simple recipe can feed up to 5 people.

Isn't very uncomplicated?
