Fake SHOES And BAGS Worth Dh6.2 Million Have Been Confiscated By UAE Authorities
Another raid has been launched by authorities in the UAE to combat selling counterfeit goods in the country.
In its latest effort, Ajman’s Department of Economic Development (DED) has seized more than 60,000 fake goods of well-known brand names which is worth Dh6.2 million.
Products such as shoes, perfumes, clothing, bags and leather products have been confiscated.
Penalties have been imposed against the violators.
“The seizure of counterfeit goods came in response to a compliant citing the circulation on non-genuine copies of international brands in the Al-Jaraf Industrial Area,” DED said in a statement.
