Filipino Influencer In UAE Publicly Shames Skin Care Distributor For Trying To Get Free Service
There are many reports of where influencers are publicly shamed for trying to get free stuff. But the tables have turned.
Filipino vlogger in the UAE Johnlerie Serrano posted a conversation he had with an unnamed skin care product distributor who was trying to get free vlog service from the former.
Who doesn't like free stuff? Almost everyone! Johnlerie, an Abu Dhabi-based vlogger, was shortly blocked by the distributor for giving his two cents.
So the conversation went like this:
Skin care distributor: Hi John, we're looking for Brand Ambassadors both nationwide and internationally. Is it okay if you post our products on your Facebook timeline? We distribute NU Skin products globally in 54 countries. 100 - 4800 pesos will be the profit or depending on how much you sell online.
Just put some captions and photos, and that's it. Oh, I can also help you answering the queries. If we don't talk to your friends, someone will. Is that okay with you?
Johnlerie: So the only benefit that I will receive would be when I sell your products online? If you can send me your products, I might do a review about it.
Skin care distributor: No, thanks.
Johnlerie: Okay, thanks, though.
Skin care distributor: We personally use the products and we had lots of testimonies. We're good with that.
Johnlerie: Me posting your products without being able to experience and use it, then how can I convince my friends and followers?
Skin care distributor: You have a point, though, but you can buy and try it. (wink) I am very confident with our product and it truly works because many people have already been using it.
Johnlerie: So then hire a marketing arm instead for posting your products.
Skin care distributor: We have a proven system so there's no need. Thanks anyway for your time.
Their conversation has stopped from here since the distributor has already blocked him from sending messages.
