Filipino Movie ‘Aurora’: Hauntingly Beautiful
It’s the first thing that comes to my mind after watching the award-winning film Aurora. It was hauntingly beautiful as the movie strikes beauty but makes you uneasy.
Directed by Yam Laranas, the film, which is being top-billed by Anne Curtis, is a highly successful film as it is the second most awarded movie in Metro Manila Film Festival 2018.
A passenger ship called Aurora crashed into some rocks and got wrecked that killed countless lives.
Leana’s Inn is made as a headquarters for rescue operations as it’s the nearest inn in the area.
Kins of the victims asked Leana (Curtis) to help search for dead bodies in return of hefty reward.
Leana accepted the offer out of financial problem.
And so the search begins, so does the unexplained occurrences.
It’s not the typical horror movie and it haunts your very core – in fact it keeps its audience on the edge of their seats.
Its cinematography? It’s divine.
Laranas’ attempt was successful – he was able to scare the audiences through a new chilling story.
And as for Curtis, from Sid & Aya to BuyBust, now to Aurora, she unquestionably nailed 2018.
The film is now showing in UAE cinemas.
