Filipinos in Dubai Send 10,000 Face Masks To The Philippines for Taal Eruption Victims
More than 10,000 face masks are ready to be dispatched this week from Dubai to be used by residents affected by the sudden eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines, thanks to a good samaritan in the Emirate.
In a post by community page Sabi Ni Donna, it asks its followers to help the families inflicted by the eruption in a small way, which is by giving away face masks.
Pebrero Pereze, Nota Boyz Group, Ako si Bistek, Audz Abellanos of DubaiSneakerheads, Girald Magpantay Mendoza and Ariel Magpantay and Donna Cepe of Sabi ni Donna have initiated the aid.
In a My Day post, Sabi ni Donna revealed that they have already accumulated 10,000 face masks and ready to be sent to Batangas this week. Apart from face masks, some Filipinos have shown their support to the cause by giving goods, cash and other materials that evacuees can use in their day to day lives while temporarily living in the evacuation centres.
Several OFWs have praised Donna Cepe, the face of Sabi ni Donna, for using the page to help the volcano eruption victims.
Taal volcano has erupted this week with thousands of residents nearby left the danger zone. It is estimated that it left Php 557 million of agricultural loss.
