‘Good conduct certificate’ takes effect today
A new rule in the UAE took effect today, Sunday, February 4, where job seekers need to secure a “good conduct” certificate before a company issues him or her a work visa.
The rule was announced earlier on January, stating that certificate will prove one’s good conduct in the state in terms of security and criminality.
It should be issued by the home country of job seekers or the country where he spent the last five years.
It was also reported that the certificate must be attested by UAE diplomatic missions, or Customer Happiness Centers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
For long term residents
If one is a long term resident, he should get it here through Dubai Police’s website.here
It would cost one a total of AED 220 to get the police clearance or good conduct certificate. One must have a valid Emirates ID and email address.
The cost breakdown include certificate for UAE resident (AED 200), knowledge fee (10), and innovation fee (AED 10).
