Hackers In UAE Can Take A Selfie Of You Secretly Thru WhatsApp

Without knowing, someone may take over your phone, worst is he or she is taking a selfie of you or even record audio and video!

Fraudsters in the UAE have up the ante and become more sophisticated.

They send a “malicious” file or link in a bid to access one’s private conversation and photos and steal contacts, passwords and card numbers.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) reminded residents not to click malicious link as fraudsters may take over their private accounts.

If you think your phone is affected with this, try doing the below steps which was provided by the TRA:

1. Uninstall the app – Uninstall and reinstalling the app is recommended in different times of the day. Inform your relatives about the hacking and urge them not to respond to any message from your number on WhatsApp.

2. Email WhatsApp – If you want your account deactivated, you can email WhatsApp thru support@whatsapp.com by also mentioning “Lost/Stolen: Please deactivate my account” and providing your number.
