Hundreds Of Emiratis In UAE Show Love And Support For Filipinos Affected By Taal
To show love and support to the Filipinos affected by the eruption of Taal volcano in the Philippines, Emiratis in UAE have come forward to volunteer in the drive that Emirates Red Crescent and Philippine Embassy in UAE organized.
The #UAEforPhiippines campaign is the result of the meeting between the ERC and the Philippine mission as a response to the message of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander for the UAE Armed Forces.
In a Facebook post, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, said that through the initiative, he saw humanity and tolerance unfold that brought his citizens together with Filipino residents to provide aid to families affected by the Taal volcano in the Philippines.
"Humanity defines our society," he added.
In photos, ERC Manager Mohammed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zaroni and Philippine Ambassador Hjayceelyn Quintana are seen helping the volunteers to repack the goods to be sent to the Philippines.
People's reaction toward the leaders is overwhelming:
