Million dirhams worth ‘Infinity Bridge’ coming to Dubai Creek
A new bridge will be coming to Dubai Creek which spans nearly 60 meters in width and extends more about 295 meters.
The bridge, called as Shindagah Bridge, will rise over 15 meters above the water level which also allows a whole range of bots on the Creek to pass by.
It’s also called as the “Infinity Bridge” for showing an infinity symbol.
According to local reports, it will connect Bur Dubai to Deira.
The new iconic bridge in the Emirate is part of the AED 5 billion Shindagha Corridor Project. This huge project will expand the capacity of Sheikh Rashid Street and somehow help ease traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
The allotted budget for the Infinity Bridge is AED 394 million.
It will consist of six lanes in each direction in addition to a pedestrian crossing.
About 2,400 tonnes of steel will be used for the completion of construction.
