OFW Demolished Own House After Getting Betrayed By Siblings In The Philippines

Oftentimes, the saddest thing about betrayal is that it does comes from your enemies. Sometimes you’re betrayed by a friend or even a family member that you’re close to.

An overseas Filipina worker, Jonalyn Obnar, has shared on Facebook this experience that created a buzz in the online community.

According to her, she is working as an OFW for 15 years now and has been sending money to her sister after being offered that there was a good place where they can settle after working overseas. Jonalyn said that she and her husband have dreamt of the house where they will create a happy family.

And so she built the dream house.

She added that she sent an amount of Php 40,000 for the title to be transferred to her name and to legally own the house and lot.

To her surprise and disappointment, the land that her sister offered her cannot be transferred to her because of “mother title” issue. With this, legally speaking, no one cannot claim the land even though the house was already there and built concretely.

Jonalyn couldn’t even sell the house because the Barangay captain won’t let her.

“May bibili sana ng bahay kaso ayaw nila (Brgy), ayaw nila na maperahan namin bahay namin kasi want nila siguro na makamkam nila,” she wrote.

Her final decision was to demolish the house so no one can use it.
