The Government Official In Iran With Coronavirus Has Just Died
A Member of the Parliament who contracted the new coronavirus has just died.
Mohammad Ali Ramazani Dastak was just recently elected as the representative for Astana Ashrafieh. He was tested positive for the virus a few days ago.
According to the Iranian Students News Agency, Dastak died on Saturday, February 29, after being taken to hospital with influenza and chemical injuries sustained in the Iran-Iraq war.
The official death toll now in the country is 43, amid 593 confirmed cases.
"Unfortunately, none people died of the virus in the last 24 hours," Kianush Jahanpur told state TV, confirming that the death toll is now at 43.
Just recently, officials in Iran's health system told BBC News that at least 210 people have already succumbed to the virus.
