This Emirate Will Now Accept Amnesty Seekers Without Passports

Starting now, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) will be accepting amnesty seekers from Pakistan and Bangladesh even without passports.
The amnesty center in the emirate set up another tent that can sit around 500 people for this purpose, Khaleej Times reported.
The Sharjah immigration, on Monday, had urged amnesty seekers without valid passports to collect their travel documents from their diplomatic missions after its tent receive a huge crowd.
It was also reported that illegal resident’s employers had submitted a number of passports to the respective consulates.
The Sharjah immigration will receive applications and distribute passports to the Pakistani and Bangladeshi owners in a tent erected near the immigration center.
