This Lady From Hong Kong Plays Coronavirus Parody Song And It's Cheering People Up

As the coronavirus keeps on spreading, a video of a Hong Kong singer playing coronavirus parody is also getting viral on the internet and cheering people up.

The lady in the video is Kathy Mak, an actress, and singer. Her video is now being shared online to promote positivity in these trying times.

The video shows Kathy singing the parody song in the tune of the song Torn which is popularized by Natalie Imbruglia. She is an actress and singer based in Hong Kong.

Some of the lines are: “Back during Sars I was just a child/Didn’t seem to know, didn’t seem to care about the virus running wild/ But now I’m freaking out all right/I sterilise, I sanitise/My hands are always frickin’ dry."

The footage was taken on Saturday during a fundraising event for Australian bush fire relief efforts at Central nightspot Social Room.

At the end of her performance, she sings "We need a little faith/ We’ll get through this Hong Kong”, and applies hand sanitiser, to the applause of the crowd.
