Thousands of Filipinos Are Triggered By This Woman And The Reason Is So Bizarre

Updated: Jul 29, 2018

How would you react if someone represents your country in a poll and she doesn't even know about the basics about your place? Not even your culture or how you count 1-2-3 in your native tongue?

You’ll probably get angry at some point and internally shout 'Stupiiiiiiiid!'

Over the weekend, Filipinos in the online community have shared a series of videos from an online community page called ‘Many People Many Places.’

The page features more than 70 people of different races to join fun activities in their videos.

In their episodes, they show how 70 people count numbers, sing happy birthday song, how to count money, among others, in their native language.

While some representative confidently answer the questions, the Filipina representative was obviously bashed by the netizens for failed answers.

In one video, she was asked how to count numbers 1 to 10 in Filipino. She counted in English instead of ‘Isa, Dalawa, Tatlo, Apat, Lima, Anim, Pito, Walo, Siyam, Sampo.’

In another video, she was asked how to count money in Filipino. And, man, she did it again! She counted it in English.

It didn’t stop from counting. The next task was to sing happy birthday song in their vernacular. And Filipinos thought she'd get it right – but oh my Lord, she sang the happy birthday English song instead of ‘Maligayang Bati’ because according to her Philippines has already been 'Americanized'.

In a separate episode, they were told to recite the tongue twister in their language. The Filipina representative can’t even think of any tongue twister when in fact Philippines has a lot of it. That includes ‘Pasko, Paksiw’, ‘Ang relo ni Leroy ay Rolex,’ ‘Pitung-put pitong putting pating,’ and many more.

Finally, she gets a correct answer by singing the national anthem of the Philippines.

This innocent lady does a lot of things that Filipinos are not proud of.

But a lot of Filipinos don’t know as well her background, whether she was raised in the Philippines or not.
