UAE Gov’t Will Cancel All Resident’s Absconding Cases
On Monday, the UAE authorities has announced that they will trash all the absconding reports filed by the employers against workers in the country as part of the upcoming amnesty program which is set to kick off on August 1.
Those reports filed before July 31 will be cancelled, according to a wam.ae report.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization will also cancel the existing work permit of the workers concerned when they opt for the amnesty.
They will be issuing new work permits if they were able to secure a new job.
“This effectively revokes the ban on issuing work permits to absconding workers after they correct their status,” the report noted.
This announcement delimit those workers who have violated employment rules as specified in their contracts.
The amnesty program in the country will run from August 1 through October 31.
