UAE Now Requires Authorization Letter from Minor's Parents
All minors travelling to UAE need now an authorization letter from their parents if they are not to travel with them.
This new rule will be effective starting June 1 and applicable to minors aged 18 years and below.
According to a gulfnews.com report, citing a statement sent to Air India, it was launched to stop child trafficking.
The form must be filled by parents with relative details of the child’s address abroad and in the UAE and information about who will receive the child in the UAE.
The immigration authorities may deport the minor if he is deemed to propagate illegal activity and can’t provide sufficient information.
