UAE Police Were Dispatched To Investigate The Boiling Sand In The Country And… OMG
A video has recently gone viral in the country, showing a part of a deserted land in Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) literally boiling.
Netizens quickly concluded things. Some say it’s because of the untamed summer temperature.
The video showed Sira area on the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan road in UAQ.
Authorities in the said emirate debunked all the conclusions online and noted that it was because of the air inside a network cable.
“The vertical surge of sand is due to an increase in the amount of air inside a network cable,” Col. Saeed Obaid bin Aran, director of traffic patrols department at UAQ police, said.
His office was informed about the occurrence and immediately dispatched officers to investigate the ‘boiling sand.’
Experts from the civil defence department, federal electricity and water authority and Etisalat UAQ were summoned to examine the area.
The excess air in the network cable was already removed.
