Wait Habibi, Dubai’s Universal Language Now Comes As An Emoji

An emoji that every Dubai resident understand will be rolled out this year for iPhones and Android users.

The release offers a variety of new gender-inclusive symbols, among them a gender-neutral person and a mustachioed man wear wedding veils, and a gender-neutral person in a tuxedo.

But what stood out is the pinched finger that mostly Arabs use here in the Middle East that expats have also been trying to do when you literally want to say “Wait”.

While there is no exact date when this will be rolled out, we can’t agree more that this will be the most overused emoji when it’s launched.

Some Italians claim this emoji as rightfully theirs, but who cares if we speak the same emoji?
